Medieval Benedictine Nunnery, moat, fishpond, priory.

 

1130                            Founded.

1539                            Dissolved.

1625-1649                   During: Bought by the Taylor family.

1698                            Passed to the White family.

1828                            Altered and incorporated into a new house, moat possibly filled in.

1829                            Stone coffin found of Prioress Dame Margery Dourant, and included her shoes and a silver chalice.

1959                            Divided into flats.
