Iron Age promontory hill fort, oval enclosure covering 5 acres and measuring 836ft by 1230ft. Defended on the east by a single rampart, measuring 3.2 – 6.5ft high, and ditch, measuring32.8 – 55.7 ft wide and 3.8ft deep, and the south west strengthened by a creek, there is a natural slope on the western side. An additional outer bank lies to the south east. The counterscarp measures 1.3 – 4.5ft high. There is a possible entrance gap to the south measuring 29.5ft wide.
There is salt marsh on three sides.
