Original house was timber framed.


1391-1392                     Date given to the timbers in the original roof.

14th C                            Gatehouse of two storeys built by the Mavesin family.

1403                              Came into the possession of the Cawarden family.

1660’s                           Still standing.

1718                              House built on the site of an older one.

18th C                            Additions to the gatehouse, wall built of stone.

18th-19th C                     Alterations.

1958                              Field Investigation.

1968                              Restored.

1974                              Field Investigation.
