Medieval motte and bailey castle with the motte measuring 44 m in diameter and standing 10.5 m high, and the enclosing ditch measuring 5.8 m -11.8 m wide and 0.3 m -3 m deep. The scarp measures 3 m – 4 m high and the rampart measuring 11 m – 12 m wide and 1 m – 3 m high.

Possibly built before Longtown Castle.

Held by the de Lacy family.
