Ivington Camp

Multivallate Iron Age hill fort. Defended by a bank and ditch. Divided internally into two, one section believed to be the remains of an earlier univallate hill fort. Possible motte on site.

Finds include Roman artifacts.

as been quarried in the north west corner.

 

1404                            Owain Glyndwr was defeated by Prince Henry (later Henry V).

1900                            c: Approximately twenty graves were found at the quarry in the north west corner.
