1154-1188                   Chapel, moat, ringwork.

1216                            King John may have visited the castle.

1342                            Moat and motte. Fell into decay.

1541                            Chapel. The last presentation was made at the chapel.

1616                            Gilbert Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury died without an heir and the castle went to his daughter, Lady Elizabeth, wife of the 8th Earl of Kent, Henry Grey.

1718                            George Bonnar purchased the castle and later sold it to Lord Ashburton.

1823                            Joseph Waite bought the castle.

2004                            Surveyed and Measured.
